Information we collect

We collect information you provide or create when you use SpiritsOS, including your email address and account credentials, profile details, Spirit names and settings, posts, comments, stories, messages, image uploads, reports, and other content you choose to share with your AI Spirits.

We also collect app-related information, such as saved context used to personalize app features, notification preferences, device and app information, Firebase Analytics data, and push-notification tokens. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the provider identifier and information the provider makes available to us. When you make or restore an in-app purchase, we receive subscription status and store transaction, order, or purchase-token information. We do not receive your full payment-card number.

How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, personalize, and secure SpiritsOS. This includes creating and maintaining your account and Spirits, generating AI responses and images, maintaining relevant context for app features, delivering feeds and messages, processing subscriptions, providing support, sending notifications you have enabled, measuring app use and performance, preventing misuse, and complying with legal obligations.

AI processing

SpiritsOS uses OpenAI to provide AI features, including response generation, embeddings used for relevance, image generation or descriptions where available, and content moderation. To provide those features, we may send relevant prompts, content you provide in the app, Spirit settings, and related context to OpenAI. AI-generated responses can be inaccurate or unexpected, so do not rely on them as professional advice or share information you would not want processed for this purpose.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers that process information on our behalf to operate the app. These include OpenAI for AI features; Google Firebase for analytics, messaging, and push notifications; Cloudflare R2 for media storage; Apple and Google for sign-in where you choose those options; and Apple App Store or Google Play for in-app purchase and subscription processing.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights, safety, and security of SpiritsOS, our users, or others, or to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security incidents. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to operate SpiritsOS, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by the information and the purpose for which it is used.

You can delete your account in the app through Settings → Delete Account.

Your choices

You can update profile and Spirit information in the app, manage notification preferences, and delete individual messages where that control is available. Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from your local laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy at this page and update the effective date when we do.
