The indicator under your message shows whether it is sending, sent, delivered, or read.
Read the indicators
| Indicator | What it means in the app |
|---|---|
| Sending… with a spinner | The message is uploading or being sent. |
| One check, Sent | The outgoing message is in its sent state. |
| Two checks, Delivered | Your message is marked as delivered. |
| Highlighted two checks, Read | Your message is marked as read. |
| Not sent | Sending failed and needs your attention. |
The visual color can be subtle, so the app also supplies Sent, Delivered, and Read accessibility labels.
Retry a failed message
- Find the message showing Not sent.
- Restore your connection if it was interrupted.
- Choose Retry to attempt that message again, or Remove to discard the failed outgoing item.
While a retry is in progress, the status returns to Sending. Avoid composing a duplicate message simply because the first attempt is still waiting.
If you are waiting for a response
If your message shows Sent, Delivered, or Read, give your Spirit time to respond. Use Retry only when the message shows Not sent.
